karena1 Posted March 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2009 1. how early is the first tender? Usually around 8 am. Sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a few minutes past that. 2. anyone have a picture of the private cabanas? how do you get to them? are there a bunch? are they first come first serve? The cabanas are over by Island Oasis which is on the left all the way to the front. don't know how you get to use them. 3. can you choose your waverunner excursion time? You have to book the excursion on the ship I think. 4. is it possible to get a picture on the waverunner with the ship behind you? 5. if you walk through the straw market do they harrass you to buy stuff or do they let you look and shop in peace? Straw market is very easy. They may ask if they can help you, but they really do not harrass you at all. We walk around in there all the time. *last time we didnt have the best experience there so hoping to make up for it this time!* See above Love Coco Cay, have fun
cb at sea Posted March 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2009 You can book the waverunners on the island IF there are times available. the waverunners are a "follow the leader" thing---you can't go off on your own. I'm pretty sure you can take a picture of the ship from the waverunner---you'll have to ask someone else in the group to take the picture of you IN FRONT of the ship! emspilot Posted March 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2009 The wave runner excursion lasts an hour or so. One of the places they take you is along the ship. At one point we all stopped by the left/rear quarter of the ship and we all took pictures. It was no problem. Unlike all the ports where there is security, because this is RCI's port, the wave runners go right up to the ship...the closest we got was about 100'. It sure is a big ship from the water!!!
