Circle Savings Question

We just booked an Alaska cruise. We had done an onboard booking so we used our FCC credit from that plus we had $250 "goodwill" credit from our "hurricane" sailing in September. So....my husband and I each had $350 cruise credit towards the sailing. The cruise credit part posted correctly. But....the way I understood it, we were both also supposed to get $50 ONBOARD CREDIT when we booked onboard. Before we booked this sailing, our Circle Savings showed it this way. But...after we booked the Alaska cruise, my husband's Circle Savings account showed the onboard credit but my Circle Savings account doesn't show any onboard credit. I did call Princess and she said they do show another $50 credit but...our TA is also giving us a $50 credit so I'm concerned that this is what they're seeing. They did have my name spelled wrong on the booking too and they corrected it while I was on the phone so I don't know if that caused the problem but....the credit is still missing. The rep I spoke with was new but he did talk to another rep while I was on the phone. Do I need to call Princess back....or should I call my TA and ask her about it?? Or...has my TA"s credit probably not posted yet and the other $50 from Princess is there? Sorry this is so confusing!!!!

Personally, I would give your TA a call after Thanksgiving and have him/her check on it for you. You were actually lucky Princess spoke with you at all about your booking as they will refer you back to your TA if you didn't book directly with them normally.

I am sure your TA can take care of all of this and check to make sure your credits are showing in the Princess system.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I would just make sure that the fax the travel agent has from Princess is accurate.

I am traveling with my mom soon on the cruise. I used a $100 future cruise deposit for me only. My mom who is traveling with me also received the same credit. It doesn't show up on her Captain Circle Savings area but it is on the fax from Princess and is on our tickets that came from Princess.

From my experience - forget the Personalizer - just make sure the receipt for your Booking from your TA shows everything you are entitled to - In case you do not receive the correct amt. on-board - you will be able to "correct" through Princess when you get home!

The personalizer is almost never correct when it comes to credits. A quick call to Princess and they will give the the accurate info.. My next cruise has $400 room credit, the personalizer says $100. I called Princess and they confirmed the $400.

Actually, I have never heard of anyone ever NOT spending their entire shipboard credit. Especially now that gratuities and such are automatically added to your shipboard charges. But I do know that it will not be carried over to your next cruise. Maybe there is someone out there that has had some leftover before that can answer this?

They don't carry over any left over on board credit. You must spend it on that cruise. I can't imagine having any left over, but if you do go to the casino and get cash. They will charge you 3% but it's better than loosing it. Or go to one of the shops and spend it. I could always find a little trinket at Facets.:D

Our last cruise on Princess on August 2004... the day of disembarkation, we heard our name being called over the loudspeaker. We went to the Purser's desk and we were told we had $6.75 in shipboard credit we hadn't used. We were in shock when we were handed the money. It was the first time we hadn't used all our shipboard credit so we don't know if this is a new thing or not.
