Are there any left in Canada - East Coast?

In England they carry the washable wool sweaters which are just great and, if possible, I might squeeze out a little time to visit a store; that is, if there are any.

Nope. Marks and Sparks pulled out of Canada years ago. It's too bad because their merchandise was good quality at a reasonable price.

They started to shrink there presence in Canada about 15 years ago and went back to the UK about 10 years ago. They like a number of UK retailers just couldn't fiqure how to do business in North America which was too bad.

I agree, they had a number of very fine products that people just loved...I guess they just couldn't sell enough of them.

In Saint John there is a shop called House of Tara - they carry wool sweaters from Ireland - 100% wool Aran sweaters and ultra-soft hand washable merino wool sweaters:

Well there is a Marks and Spencers close to the East Coast - its in Hamilton Bermuda!

The Great Canadian Superstore were selling St Michael's label (M&S) goods for a while (tea, jam, biscuits etc) but they have stopped now. I wonder if anyone else is?
