RCCL_NVcruiser Posted March 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2009 Hi, I know there is a lot of debate about the suite perks - and I don't want to start another thread to talk about the merits and/or disagreements about the perks. I would, however, like to find out if anyone knows which ships the following 2 perks are going to be implemented on. 1) Reserved prime seating in the main theater for entertainment shows, where available 2) VIP pool deck seating, where available In specific - does anyone know if they are going to be available on Mariner of the Seas? Thanks for your help!

B-52 Posted March 11, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2009 and VIP seating in the Windjammer... they let you sit in Portofinos Are you serious?? I have not heard about this. Is this a new perk? During breakfast or lunch, when it is a zoo looking for a table, Suite guests can sit in Portofinos?

My DW and I had the Royal Suite on the Monarch going thru the Panama Canal last October, and we were given a menu with omelets and other goodies for the last morning before departure in Miami. We were told that it was a new suite perk, and we thought that it was something very nice.;) Then on the Mariner around the horn trip, we were in an OS, and coming into Los Angeles, I called room service and was told that no room service for breakfast on the day of departure. I mentioned the perk on the Monarch..........and lo and behold..........5 minutes later our phone rang and I was asked what I wanted.........they were willing to fix a full hot breakfast for us.:) So.......maybe someone can tell me.........are they offering full breakfast menus for suites on the day of departure.............or not? Thanks Rick
Centexcruiseaddict Posted March 12, 2009 #9 Share Posted March 12, 2009 This is probably a real stupid question but , despite the levity, a serious one. Just exactly what is luggage valet service? do they park your luggage for you and keep the keys? :)
Kaboochi Posted March 12, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Reserved deck chairs would not be an issue if passangers did not hog chairs. It should not be a priv., it should be available to all.
lolakat Posted March 12, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Does "private breakfast and lunch seating in specialty resturants" mean they will be serving lunch for suite passangers there. (like NCL does in Cagney's) or just that overflow for the windjammer will be available iin Portifino's?

If yes who is picking up who? 1 Grand suite ? 2 Owners suite 3 Royal Suite I think they are only picking up Royal Suite guests to escort them to their rooms. Not sure who would be doing that - all the press says is a "Senior Crew Member" or something like that.

B-52 Posted March 13, 2009 #24 Share Posted March 13, 2009 I wld also enjoy knowing - anyone have this service? Thanks in advance.. You leave your bags outside your cabin door the night before, and the next time you see them is when you get off your flight at your final destination. They will take your bags to the airport, and check them in for you. We used this last year on the Mariner. It is a great service. There was a fee. I guess they are offering it as a perk to suite guests now.
TC@SEA Posted March 13, 2009 #25 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Does "private breakfast and lunch seating in specialty resturants" mean they will be serving lunch for suite passangers there. (like NCL does in Cagney's) or just that overflow for the windjammer will be available iin Portifino's? It has nothing to do with overflow. If you are in grande suite or above you are allowed in portifinos at breakfast and lunch times to eat your food. Basically, on displaying your suite key card you are allowed in. Drinks and coffee are served at your request but you have to go collect the food yourself. It is a real safe haven during the morning stampede. We used it most mornings on the Liberty in October and for the main part we virtually had the place to ourselves.
