NCL Pearl-Q Balcony or MiniSuite & Port side?

help, no experience w/NCL or Alaska in general;); decided to cave into family's wishes & 'can' our winter cruise:rolleyes:

 

only cruise to work with our summer vacation time appears to be the Pearl, from what i've seen; looks lovely

 

need to settle upon a balcony cabin for 3 pp, not sure whether the Minisuite justifies an extra $500 or so:confused:

 

additionally, did a search & read that Port is better to book for glacial viewing...its a RT sailing out of Seattle if that helps

 

any suggestions r most welcome:)

Can’t help with info on the Pearl or differences between the cabins, but first viewing and narration of the glaciers at Glacier Bay is to port; that would be my choice.

what level, what ur entitled to, got a feeling it doesn't mean a special line checking in lol

The difference between the balcony and the mini-suite are heavy drapes and some extra footage between the bed and the sitting area. You'll need to decide if the space and dividing curtain are worth the $500.

Keep in mind that while it is called a suite, you don't get any of the benefits that come with a real suite. It should really be called a "deluxe balcony".

This is old information. The mini suites no longer have concierge services available.

 

BTW, the Pearl is a beautiful ship - you will love her! She sails into Glacier Bay - incredible!

We were on the Pearl out of Seattle to Alaska last May....MUST do Balcony or above on the PORT side. Had scenery every day except on last sea day.

It was INCREDIBLE. Glacier Bay was spectacular. We LOVED the Pearl and her crew.
