Marriott Waterside Tampa

[MUFC 1963]

I am staying for one night before the cruise at the Marriott Waterside Tampa. Does anybody know if the hotel offers a shuttle service to the port or is it that close it is easy to get a taxi? Thanks

Grab a taxi. Its less then 5 minutes to the pier.

We stayed there last year. It is so close to the dock you can see the ship from your hotel. If you do not have a lot of luggage you could walk if you wanted. The dock area is a great place to go and have dinner and drinks in the evening also.

very close...very easy......you COULD walk but i wouldn't (not with luggage!)

 

you can hop the streetcar right out front. One of my favorite marriotts---and there IS a publix within walking distnace...you go out the hotel to the left...walk UNDER the convention center...over a bridge and turn right..you'll see it...i managed to do it in the HOT...only took maybe 15 minutes to walk over...i was moving kinda slow.....

 

there are a couple restaurants there......the sports bar was fun but kinda bad...REALLY slow service and the food was cold....but the regular restaurant was not bad if you don't feel like going out.

This is the first time we have gone from Tampa and choosing the Marriott was very lucky for us. Thanks for information, cannot wait.
