Keeping Balcony Doors Open on the Ruby

Garn

Recommended Posts

I don't care if my neighbours leave thier door open, or closed.

As long as they turn off the light.

(Why, oh why, do some insist on leaving the balcony light on ALL NIGHT ??? For the life of me, I really can't see the purpose of that ... )

I wonder that, too. Maybe the little bit that comes through the curtains is their night light. But I like to go out at night and look at the stars. Harder to do when the porch light is on! :)

"We can shorten this thread easily enough!!! If you want to leave your balcony door open do so. If you don't want it open, leave it closed."

If you want to drive your gas-guzzling SUV without passengers, do so. If you want to keep a lush green lawn in your Sonoran desert yard, do so. If you want see the glaciers disappear, by all means, do so.

No drop of water ever considers itself responsible for the flood.

How does leaving your AC off while leaving the balcony door open melt the glaciers?

I don't know if we will leave our balcony door open or not, but I wouldn't do it without turning the AC off first.

This is not meant to be rude, but getting attacked for something as simple as wanting to sleep with the balcony door open is not polite either.

So please, let's not over-react to the idea that some of us like to have our balcony door open at night. I think it's way more common than you might believe. It may not be PC or "green", but it's something we enjoy, and only get to do it once or twice a year. Horror stories and "might happens" will not change us to your way of thinking.

You do your thing and close and lock your balcony door, and we'll enjoy listening to the sound of the sea.

Agreed.
