are things open on Dec 25th?

I will possibly be on a cruise this upcomming Xmas and it is stopping in Antigua on Dec 25th. I was wondering if everything is open on this day? and do places close early if so what time usually?

to echo aplmac....most places in the islands are closed christmas day. You will probably be able to get a taxi and drive around the islandbut most places of interest/sites will be closed.

We will be there this day also. Would have been nice if we were notified of this, Oh well!

We're going to be there too on Christmas this year, so I assume we're on the same cruise, since I think the Victory is the only ship in port that day. I assume we will be able to arrange a taxi to a beach, but I haven't been able to find much out yet.

 

Does anyone have more info or ideas?

This would be such a bummer! DH and I will also be on the Victory arriving in Antigua Christmas day. We were hoping to catch a church service on the island and then were wanting to go snorkeling, but would love to know any more information!
