San Diego Ellie Posted April 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2009 We have tentatively booked a Thanksgiving cruise for our family including our son, daughter in law and grandchildren. To save money, we have booked three inside cabins on deck 2 (the medical center deck). I was told that there will be crew cabins below, and that we should not have engine noise. I am wondering if anyone has been on Deck Two of Radiance of the Seas, or any of the Radiance class ships, and whether it was noisy. Thanks in advance for any help any of you can provide. cb at sea Posted April 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2009 There will be little or no noise---no one but the cabin occupant's go there. You will have to use the elevators alot, since you're so far down....
sf2 Posted April 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2009 but you're right at the entrance to the gangway/tender station - so no waiting for elevators then!!!!!
San Diego Ellie Posted April 6, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted April 6, 2009 I was thinking more of engine noise, or something like that, being the lowest passenger deck. Can anyone who has had cabins on Deck Two comment on that?
MIcruiser99 Posted April 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2009 We were on deck 2 on the Radiance and did not hear any noises that bothered us. The only thing I did not like was that to go forward (for the theater), we had to go up to deck three, then walk to the forward elevators. (minor inconvenience. The medical center basically blocks your route if you wanted to go forward.) Loved being on that deck as far as being at the ports because you walk right off! San Diego Ellie Posted April 6, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted April 6, 2009 Thanks MIcruiser99, that is exactly what I wanted to know, and very reassuring.
