we are booked on the Ruby for 12/4 southern caribbean, was wondering which island is the best for snorkeling and the best price

Im not sure where youre going, but if you go to Dominica, head to champagne beach.

 

You can get a bus/van from the city for $2 a person for the 8 minute ride. On the way back, youll need a van taxi which will try to charge you as much as 25$ per person to get back to the boat. We negotiated down to 10$ a person.

 

If you go to Bonaire, take the water taxi to klein. While you wait for the water taxi (its on a schedule) feel free to practice along the shore.

We are Mike and Susan too and also love to snorkel. Aruba has some good snorkeling, in St Thomas, St John is great too. Bonaire, wonderful. Where are you going in the Southern Carb?

If one of your ports is Bonaire, take the water taxi over to Kleine Bonaire.....the snorkelling is fantastic. We were there just a week ago, and loved every minute of it.
