PaperSniper4 Posted December 3, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2004 Just checked the itinerary on my 12/12 Princess Cruise and "Princess Cay" was replaced by "Nassau". Not sure when this happened, but it's been within the last 4 weeks I'd guess. Too bad. The "layover" in Nassau is only 4 hours.
sue d. miller Posted December 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2004 No one will know until the first ship actually goes there!! As soon as it is a go, on that particular ship, someone on the ship from CC will post it here!!! :)
MaryLS Posted December 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2004 We're on the CP for 12/11. Princess Cays has been replaced with San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday, Dec. 13 from 4:00pm-11:00pm. I'm just too happy to be cruising to care where I go!!!

CruisinChris Posted December 4, 2004 #9 Share Posted December 4, 2004 I believe that the Dawn Christmas cruise will be the first to return followed by the Sun on the 23rd.
queen_kathy1 Posted December 5, 2004 #10 Share Posted December 5, 2004 Hi Geocruiser, Did you contact Princess to find out that the Sun Princess is going to Nassau? I just checked the princess website and it still says Princess Cays. Do you know if arrival and departure times remain the same? Thanks.

Someone maybe needs to to hit her "Refresh" button? ;) Make sure you're logging onto the "Cruise Personalizer" tab with your Name and Booking Number. Otherwise you might just be seeing the "generic" itinerary for the 10 day Sun Princess cruises departing on Sundays. Here's what Princess had just now (5 Dec 2044 @ 1545 CT) for my wife and me: Dec 13 2004 NASSAU Arrive 01:00PM Depart 05:00PM
MTinGA Posted December 5, 2004 #14 Share Posted December 5, 2004 We just got back from Caribbean Princess cruise...we went to San Juan instead of Princess Cays...got there at 4:00pm and had already been to San Juan so we stayed on the ship. I was told they had to rebuild and ship sand to build beaches back up so who knows...I really would have liked to go there for a beach day because a lot of things close down early in Old San Juan and you do not have a lot of time to go out on the island to do anything. What about Senor Frogs and Hard Rock Cafe? They are within walking distance of the pier. I imagine they would be open later.
rs12065 Posted December 6, 2004 #16 Share Posted December 6, 2004 MartyZ, we also are going on the Star on 1/2/2005. Going with my wife and daughter and stepkids. Hope to bump into you. If not, have a drink on me. Bob
martyz Posted December 6, 2004 #17 Share Posted December 6, 2004 Good deal, this time we are leaving the kids home. So the drink sounds great! Looks like the Star is on its way to Costa Maya, not Princess Cays. I am not sure which id rather do.
MNYTRPS2GO2 Posted December 6, 2004 #18 Share Posted December 6, 2004 We are on the Star 1/9/05 Eastern. If we do go to Princess Cay will it be warm enough to swim that time of year?

Weird, that. Too bad about Princess Cay, that would have been fun. About 4 hours in Nassau is probably plenty! Still, there are some sights that are uniques I suppose. tpride3 Posted December 6, 2004 #21 Share Posted December 6, 2004 Got got off the Star 12/5/04. We didn't go to PC or Nassau. We only got a $15 refund for the gov. tax. We felt like we should have went somewhere else or some kind of credit a least. Good luck
lenetere Posted December 6, 2004 #22 Share Posted December 6, 2004 I just checked the Princess Personalizer. We're still showing Princess Cays for our 1/2/05 sailing on the Star. I'm eager to find out so I know whether to do serious research on Costa Maya!
