ketchikan-Alaskan Wildlife Sanctuary-Bears?

Im finding little in way of reviews of this tour in Ketchikan

 

Our sailing out of Seattle is June 27th, believe we're just missing salmon run? bears @ the creek this time frame?:confused:

 

Realize bears are never guaranteed, wildlife & all;); is there any chance they may be about early in the day here?

You are too early, and bears are rare here in season, zip lines are noisy and the bears are far and few between here. They have a pen of Caribou and you get a "walk" through the woods. About it.

 

You might "chance" come up a bear, especially if you have a car out of Skagway?? Otherwise, consider Pack Creek, and inquire about their timeframe.

thanks, we have our own random black bear sightings in PA (mostly garbage can raids); just seems like we'd be missing something to go to alaska & not see a bear:) uve saved me $250 - thanks any other suggestions in Ketchikan or just do tour highlights on our own? duck tour looks hokey yet fun
