lmentzer Posted April 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2009 Two or our party of six want to do somethin more adventuresome than what the rest of us want to do...whale watching, train trip up White Pass, and just walking around in the ports. We'll be cruising with Carnival in June southbound. Here are some possibilities they might like to try. I've seen lots about ziplining, and a little about other excursions while in port. Has anyone done these or have any info (good or bad) about any of these? Assateague Island Princes Posted April 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2009 We really enjoyed the Wilderness Sea Kayaking adventure in Sitka. Loved Sitka - period!!! Also enjoyed the Rhino 4X4 excursion there - lots of fun! Sounds like you've got some great options to choose from - enjoy!
Host Carolyn Posted April 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2009 We are doing the Canoeing in Juneau (vs. the kayaking) based on recommendation from local guide I know and a friend who did it. Much better glacier views etc. AND with 12 people paddling it's a "little" easier... plus you can get some great pics.
