pnccruisers Posted April 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2009 We'll be in Victoria on Fri, June 5 from 7pm-midnight. Will there be enough time & light to see the Butchart Gardens and still do a "city tour"? Thanks
cruiseryyc Posted April 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Only if the city tour is part of your tour to the Gardens. The Gardens are about 45 minutes from the port; takes a good hour/two hours to tour and then back to the ship and in this case I would highly encourage you to take the ship's tour. That way you won't be sweating about getting back in time. I believe some cruise tours offer a city tour with the Gardens tour.
tully07 Posted April 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2009 You won't have enough time in Victoria to see Butchart Gardens AND do a city tour unless it is a combined tour offered by the ship as a shore excursion. Butchart Gardens is 45 minutes from where the ship docks so you have 1.5 hours of travel time included in your 5 hours ashore.
Putterdude Posted April 20, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2009 You will see some of the Victoria as you leave the Ogden Point pier and transit out to the Pat Bay highway to the gardens but you will not likely have time for a full on city tour.
