Best places to eat?

What are your favorite places to eat at in PV and Mazatlan.... local food only, not American style foods.

The past forum host would rap our knuckles if we start giving out "RECOMMENDATIONS".

We can tell you what restaurants are in Vallarta based on your criteria. Are you looking for in-expensive tourist or gourmet level overlooking the city? Pub grub on the beach (sand between your toes) or five-star on the beach.

Vallarta hosts an international gourmet festival every year and is a foody's paradise.

Should ad, Mazatlan is one of the Shrimp ports of the world. The shrimp bucket and garlic shrimp on stone island are but a few shrimp choices.

We stop at any number of palapa places on the malacon beach for inexpensive beachfront ethnic seafood, as seen below.

bobnsofi...... you are awesome - that's exactly what I am looking for. That place by Stone Island is that ON the island or on the mainland side of the ferry launch. Seafood, water and sand..... great choice.

La Puntilla restaurant is on the Mazatlan/cruise Terminal side, a visual link is below. You can zoom in and out. Most folks like to have the garlic shrimp on Stone Island. We stop by both La Puntilla and stone island.

Panchos is through an arcade and right on the beach and across from the shops in the Mazatlan Golden Zone. A perfect place to grab a beer, a snack, or lunch while the wife ships for junk at the many shops near by.

Except for the Cheeky Monkey (great views and cheap cheap beer, Margs really suck) get off the Malecon and get over to the Southside while in PV :)

For those that are lucky enough to be able to leave PV late at night....Cafe Bohemio is one of our favourite dining spots :)

Dee's Coffee shop across the street has the best coffee and coffee drinks intown as well as her killer pies and caramel chocolate brownies....PLUS you can call home to US or Canada with a purchase....PLUS free internet with a purchase.

Tankos Pancos next to Cafe De Olla on B.B for Tacos after 6 PM YUM :)

OK I am getting so homesick for PV as well as very hungry :)

We drove that golf cart all the way up to Playa Bruja, way past everything. Great Fun! Much better than a scooter for 2. Pic below is at the new RUI, nearly up to the end of the Playa Bruja.
