In some ways yes if you are talking about chance of getting mugged or something. But if it is about riot, airport being shut down for weeks, not necessarily, NO? Anyone can give me an objective on the ground report?
Omega1 Posted April 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Returned from Thailand last Saturday. We were in Bangkok during the protests. We stayed away from the main trouble spots (which were away from the tourist areas) and had no problems. Other than heavier than usual traffic there were no obvious signs of difficulty - the airport functioned as normal. Down in Phuket there were no signs of trouble at all. My advice - go and enjoy yourself.
