On board check in questions from newbie

Hi, again. Just got our renewed passports in the mail today, so we can proceed with online check in now. We sail on June 13th out of Vancouver and are wondering when we should complete online check in.

 

Are there advantages to completing this early or later? If so, what are the advantages? If later, how far before sailing should/ must we complete. Do we need to finish check-in in order to be mailed our luggage tags.

If you check in now, you may or may not be able to print your documents. I checked in for our June 23rd cruise and have to return to the HAL site on something like the 7th of May to print docs.

Sorry, you've been given bad information. In order to book shore ex, all one needs is their booking number. This can be done well ahead of final payment. You can't complete the on-line check-in until HAL has your final payment.

I don't think so, we're on the Sep 19 Alaska Inside passage cruise and we've already booked our tours.:)

 

We just had to have our booking number from the reservation.
