Here is a weird question: does anyone know what customs agency you clear during Embarkation at the Port in Vancouver is it Canadian or American ?????

I do not think you clear any Customs/Immigration Dept. when boarding the ship in Vancouver. You should have cleared Canadian Immigration upon entry into Canada, either by land or air.

someone told me that Vancouver embarkation take a very very long time because of customs ....and I have never encountered that on any other cruise I have been on - thought it was a little weird so I thought I would ask my fellow experts ....sorry that you feel my question perplexed you

US Customs and Immigration does pre-clearance in Vancouver for embarking guests. Canada Customs clears disembarking ships in Vancouver. The same applies for air travel in Vancouver.
