Port or Starboard going Boston to Montreal?

We are thinking of taking the Maasdam on a Boston to Montreal itinerary this summer. Does the Maasdam cruise close enough to land going from port to port that you can see scenery while cruising?

Would it make a difference if your cabin is located on the port (left) or starboard (right) side in order to see this scenery? It seems like on the first few days of the cruise the port side would be better for scenery if you do cruise close enough to land.

Thanks

I've cruised the NYC-Montreal route a couple of times. I didn't notice that we were able to see land while on the Atlantic portion. On the St. Lawrence portion you can see land to both sides.

The ship will spend as much time as possible far enough out to open the casino, which I believe is 12 miles. Not much of a land view from that distance.
