Diamond princess 12:30am arrival

We will be on Diamond Princess Vancouver to Beijing. My brother is getting off at Whittier & the schedule has us docking there at 12:30AM. Does anyone know when he has to leave the ship? I hope he doesn't have to fly out at 3:00am.:confused:

There is a flight at 8:00am from ANC to ORD...anyone have any opinion as to whether this is manageable? Seems tight.

Nope, he won't make a 8am flight. The trip from Whittier to Anchorage Airport is just over an hour. Then the over 1 hour check in and security stuff. I don't think anyone flies out before 12pm.

Yep, don't even try a flight before 1pm. You have to stay on the ship until the Antonson tunnel opens out of Whittier around 5-6am.

Nope - there's a rockslide blocking the road but the tunnel is intact for the Alaska Railroad. Crews are working on clearing the road but it is taking more time than expected.
