How to get to the Belgian Chocolate Shop?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how far the Belgian Chocolate Shop is from the dock? How might I get there if not? And finally, anybody have any pricing info? I'm anxious to visit there and want to know what I'm looking at price wise.

Thanks!! :D

.

Follow your nose until you see the big yellow car parked where no car should be parked?

Their chocolates are pricey!

They tried to sell me three chocs. for five bucks!

When I started to walk out suddenly she found the bar of Dark for the same five bucks.

I bought that..and it was very nice.

A good chunk of the bar even made it back on to the ship somehow!

Is it something I can walk to, from getting off the ship ===> it's a hot, dusty 15-20 min. walk

or will we have to take a cab or something like that?

I'm so excited to check it out!

When you get to the base of the pier, keep left and.. take the Water Taxi.

WTaxi-830.jpg

That'll cost you U.S.$ 6 for multiple back-and-forth trips all day, if you like...

They'll put a dark green band on your wrist: leave it alone.

Here we go!

It's a scenic ride..much better than the land taxi into town

-have the camera out.

Don't get off at the first stop the water taxi makes..

hang around a bit and get off at its second stop.

That'll put you here...

See what I meant about 'scenic' ??

Now.

If you walk straight off the jetty and head inland - into the town,

you'll be somewhere around mid-town, a better place to start doing Front Street

which is long in either direction.

From where you'll then be..

I'm pretty sure the Belgian Chocolate Shop will be to your right

but feel free to ask a local

It's down a little side-street on 'the land side' of Front St., not the 'sea side'.

You can't miss the big ole yellow car sitting right outside

which is of course what draws you down the little side street.

Somewhere on the internet I came across the actual street address for it,

so Google it, why dontcha?

Right opposite the Belg.Choc. Shop is a little store

where I bought ten loose cigarillo's for just 5 bucks U.S. money

and they turned out to be very nice indeed

Now I'm sorry I didn't buy 20.

Next trip.

Enjoy. ;)

Remember to ask for the plain ole BAR of Dark Chocolate for $5.

It's better value for money than their fancy chocolates with squishy centers

but then it depends on if you're more of an addict than I am! :D

We bought a sampler box for $16 - I think there were about 8-10 pieces in the box. Pricey, yes - but absolutely the best chocolate I've ever had and definitely worth trying. As I think about it, I can spend more money on other items in the islands and not get nearly the same enjoyment from them!:)

It's been a couple of years since we've been there but they did deliver the chocolate to the ship just before sailing free of charge. We didn't have to worry about it melting. You might ask if they still do that. We're going again in 2 weeks and that's one place we're really looking forward to going to.
