Where does Princess drop you in Rome?

We are meeting friends in Rome in July and doing the Rome on your own tour through Princess. Can anyone tell me where the coach will drop us in order to give our friends an indication where to meet? TIA

last year we did a great Princess tour on our own but not quite,

 

what happened was we went to the under ground car park at St Peters,

 

do your own thing for a hour or so, then with a guide we jumped on an

 

opened top bus that would drop us of at places all over Rome for 30

 

minutes , hour etc do your own thing at each stop, then took us back

 

to the bus that took us to Rome .

 

It was a great trip, we saw all the main sites but were free at each stop,

 

would love to see Princess do this type of tour in other cities.

Thanks Shogun, I did think it would be near St Peters. I can tell my friends from NZ to meet us somewhere near there then.

Most cruise line buses that do the "Rome on your own" tour all park on the same street about a block and a half away from the Colosseum. From there you can walk down to the Colosseum or to the metro station.

Last fall we did Rome On Your Own with Princess. We were dropped off in a parking garage and then walked with an escort to St. Peters Square. We then met at the drop off place about 5 or 6 hours later for the trip back to the ship.
