ItsANewDay Posted May 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2009 We are going on the Freedom of the Seas in Sept. 2010. Right now we have a cabin booked on Deck 6 which is right above the Promenade. Is the noise really that bad? Also we are going on the eastern caribbean itinerary, is it better to be on the port side or starboard? I appreciate the advice! :)
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted May 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2009 In my opinion Deck 6 is brilliant as it's only one deck up from the Prom where you can grab a late sandwich and a hot chocolate! No issues with noise at all. As far as I'm concerned either side of a cruise ship is wonderful ;)
cb at sea Posted May 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2009 The side of the ship doesn't matter at all. The ship won't dock in the same direction on every sailing.... None of the cabins have real noise issues. You will most likely hear more through the hallway door than you will through the floor or ceiling! It's really not much different from any hotel (except the cabins are much smaller!!!!)
ItsANewDay Posted May 25, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted May 25, 2009 Thank you! We have cruised 3 times on the Navigator and I have never spent this much time worrying over cabins before! I should just close my eyes and pick one...
