SS Shuttle Service

Primarily Rome and Florence are the two ports I'm interested in knowing if SS provides complimentary transportation to the city center.

I don't think there will be free shuttles to Rome and Florence. Both are about 90 minutes away from the port cities which is too far to coordinate shuttles all day long. There will probably be a bus back and forth for the day for which you will have to pay in addition to all the excursions. Or you can make private arrangements with a car and driver, take the train etc.

As I recall, to get to Rome, you had to take a tour; but for Florence there was a (pay, not free) there-and-back bus called something like "a day in Florence".

 

Of course, you could do it yourself using trains etc.
