balf Posted June 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Look, I know it looks bad now, but at the time I was told every one was doing it and I would be a fool if I didn’t do it as well. So I did, and I am really sorry, but I had so much to deal with at that time, what with where should we dine in the evening, where would we have our pre dinner drink, should we go to see the comedian in the theatre or have a couple of hours in the casino. I know this is a poor excuse, but I was having a lot of stress as you can see and I just took my eye off the ball. It seemed so easy at the time, there they were in that nice silver jar and as fast as I removed them and put them in the empty case under the bed they were replaced again as by magic. I should have known that it was too good to be true!! Of course I would give them back if I could but unfortunately I do not still have them. The oatmeal ones were my favourite but all of them were consumed in short order when we got home. We always thought of our cruise when we had our morning coffee and a nice P&O biscuit. So what should we do folks? Maybe I will write to P&O offering them a discount off my next cruise……if they don’t de select me”” David.

Norfolk Brit Posted June 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2009 I have not got a scooby what you are going on about! Am i the only one? Probably. Thanks, David. I enjoyed it greatly. If I'm re-elected, do you happen to know if one can flip assorted ships as one's second home, or do I have to select just the one? Mary

Marmaduke Posted June 1, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Don't worry Balf, you are not alone. I know of other people with the same addiction (to P & O biscuits for those of you who haven't the faintest idea what this thread is about).

cottonbuddas Posted June 1, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Sorry, Bobarnie. You obviously aren't addicted to the revelations about MPs lining their pockets. Balf in his OP used all the excuses they have made for dipping their snouts in the trough, except that Balf's misdemeanour was only about P&O biscuits, not our taxes. The most shocking one of late is the MP who claimed for a £5 donation he made during a church service. Those that have been lining their pockets at our expense shoud be ashamed of themselves amd make puplic appologies and pay it all back. The worst culprits should step down now. I also think it is time we had a gerneral election. I am sorry I was so slow to see the irony in your post. Bobarnie :)
Beckyfaye-2008 Posted June 1, 2009 #13 Share Posted June 1, 2009 My case was so full of them, porter refused to take my cases, said they were over the weight limit, they did not last long when I got home though, no replacements.:D

timetravellers Posted June 2, 2009 #22 Share Posted June 2, 2009 On our very first cruise last year (Ventura), it took us just 24 hours to realise the magic of the automatic refilling of the biscuit tin! Didn't count how many ended up in the suitcase but it was close to a bed size drawer full! I wonder what the cabin steward thought of the lack of biscuit wrappers in the waste basket?
