Howdy...

My partner and I, (and his cousins) just booked this trip over the weekend.

The itinerary is:

Athens, (GR); Canakkale, (TK); Odessa, (UA); Sevastapol, (UA); Yalta, (UA); Istanbul, (TK).

 

Any comments on any of the ports are very welcome!

 

Anyone know who the cruise director is/will be?

 

More importantly...anyone else on board?

Good morning!

I loved Istanbul. Can I recommend the Four Seasons near the Blue Mosque? The rooms were huge and service outstanding. One of the nicest Four Seasons I've ever stayed. Great location too. It was an old prison that was turned until Four Seasons turn it into a hotel.

Good morning, you two. There is also a new Four Seasons right on the Bosphorous, over near the other "major" hotels. There is also a W Hotel where we will stay in August (on SPG points). Enjoy!

I stayed at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet and agree with Scott it is absolutely one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed at, especially the service. For a first timer in Istanbuk you can't beat it because everything you want tosee is within a few minutes walking distance.

 

I also visited the new FS at the Bosphorus and if I were staying a few days I'd split my time between the two. I'll be in Istanbul in July and wanted to stay in a different neighborhood (having been there three times and already seen all the sights) so have chosen the new Park Hyatt Macka Palas in Nisantasi, a trendy neighborhood. It's supposed to be great too.
