I should have said there is some really good resorts in Port Douglas, there is a Sheraton there. Port Douglas is famous for its beaches, four mile beach is really nice.

North Queensland is a really beautiful part of the world, so please don't rush your trip, but enjoy.

 

We just had a friend from NY, who had to visit the GBR, so he flew to Cairns for a short visit to snorkle on the reef. He ended up with a major earache, which he still had, when he flew back to NYC, after a few days in Brisbane.
