We just made our chain link tonight. We started this when our daughter was young and didn't really understand what 58 days was. And the tradition continues today. Tonight we just got done with our chain link for our Disney, 7 day Western Caribbean cruise on Valor in August of 2009.

 

Each morning she removed a link. Last one is black and has sparkles and she removes it the morning we head to the airport.

I need to do this for ME. That would be a lot of cutting strips to make rings. I might need to think of something else a bit easier. Thats a lot of work for a 9 month wait. That's like waiting for a baby to be born. LOL

Just can't see my teenagers getting into this. The last link would be "24 hours until the bar is open, and the party is on!"

 

I think I missed the 'window of opportunity' for my kids.

I am going to share this with all our friends who are the parent's to the many beloved children in our life. Everyone always does the "this number of sleeps until we go" but this is a nice visual!
