1sttimecruzin Posted June 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2009 We are leaving on the Inspiration in only 20 days - Yea!! We just had a few questions for those of you who have sailed her before... 1. Cafe Des Artiste: What is it? Are the goodies an extra price? If so, about how much? 2. Breakfast: Dining room/buffet/room service. Which one? Why? 3. What are the free beverages you can get onboard throughout the day? 4. Camp Carnival: Our two kids are going to be in Camp Carnival (we hope) & we were wondering what the drink options were for the kids while they are in camp. 5. Should we buy an underwater camera? Which one? Thank you so much for all your help!!
firefly333 Posted June 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I had bought two disposable underwater cameras for snorkeling, more than enough unless you plan on deep sea diving to me, but some will disagree, how much use would you get out of buying a regular camera? Do you plan on a lot of diving? The disposable cameras are only good to x amount of feet deep. Lemonaide and ice tea are free throughout the day. We go to the buffet some days and the omelet station and on sea days try to get into the dining room once or twice, as it takes longer and the dining room is only open on sea days I believe. bfkkbc Posted June 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2009 We are leaving on the Inspiration in only 20 days - Yea!! We just had a few questions for those of you who have sailed her before... 1. Cafe Des Artiste: What is it? Are the goodies an extra price? If so, about how much? there is an extra charge for these items but the mochachino is to die for!! 2. Breakfast: Dining room/buffet/room service. Which one? Why? I loved eating at the Dining room for breakfast. The food just seemed more fresh. Never did room service though 3. What are the free beverages you can get onboard throughout the day? You can get coffee/tea and lemonade in the Brasierre but at the bars you could get drinks and soda 4. Camp Carnival: Our two kids are going to be in Camp Carnival (we hope) & we were wondering what the drink options were for the kids while they are in camp Can't help with this sorry 5. Should we buy an underwater camera? Which one? We did not need one but then again didn't so excursions that required one either!!;) Thank you so much for all your help!! Hope this helps!! KimberleyFL Posted June 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2009 Hope this helps!! Bar drinks and soda are not free. Op asked for the free beverages. Free beverages are coffee, tea (hot or cold), lemonaid. I also believe milk and choc milk are free when available. I don't think the Lido has it out all the time. Jill_GA Posted June 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 14, 2009 1. I think the coffees were around $4. I went there a few times. 2. We ate in the dining room twice and it was really nice. We also ate in the buffet as well. I didn't really have a preferernce but dh did prefer the dining room. We didn't order room service for breakfast but did for others things and they were great. 3. Coffe, tea, water and lemonade were free. I bought the soda card for me and ds and it was $4 a day for him and $5.50 a day for me. We also bought the red travel cups which were great for keeping things cold. I think they were $4 or so each. 4. My dd went to camp carnival once (she loved waterworks too much and did that all day and was too tired for the late night activities) and I think they had water and lemonade. 5. Can't help help with this one.

Which one? Thank you so much for all your help!! The disposable (but reusable) cameras at certain drug stores are quite reliable. Definately get one with a flash as it brings out more color. I took one rated at 95' down to 105' and... no leaks.Oh yeah,I like the buffet for breakfast as you are in and out at your speed.(Won $5200 dollars in the Inspiration casino..on a slot!)Have fun!!
