louisianagirl70 Posted July 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Has anyone heard if the Emerald is definitely going to be refurbished in December? I heard a rumor that it was.
vickie_bernie Posted July 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2009 I don't think it will be going thru any big refurbishment it is only 2.5 years old. It may have some minor things done, but usually those are just cosmetic and behind the scenes. Like replacing mattress, etc.
Captain Rhone Posted July 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2009 I think she is scheduled for drydock in October or somewhere around there, I cannot find the dates off hand but she will be going to drydock. I don't think that any significant work is expected to be carried out, probably the regular sprucing up and probably the application of the new silicone paint on the ships hull like the Caribbean & Crown Princess just received a few months ago which I think improved their looks because it actually matches the rest of the ship because it is blue unlike the dark green that is on there now... Toto2Kansas Posted July 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Normally, dry dock is for mechanical purposes and not necessairly for any refurb of the interrior of the ship.
Colo Cruiser Posted July 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2009 No refurbishment, just regular maintenance. :)
lovevacadays Posted July 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Actually, she is going into dry dock the week following the 11/29 cruise. I booked her last December and wanted to book the first week in December but couldn't because she was going into drydock. Now booked for mid-November
