We stayed there 2 years ago. Its a nice modern hotel with good breakfast buffet in the basement. It is well located, within walking distance of Piazza Cavour where buses go to all main tourist sites ...ask at the desk for walking directions to where buses start and what number to take to the site you want. Also within walk distance of St Peter's and Vatican. Several good, small restaurants nearby....even a very good Chinese one!!! (After 3 weeks of pasta my husband said give it rest!) Hotel is near Tiber River and Castel D'Angelo where you can pick up maps from the tourist info booth. Our room was quite large by European standards and was quiet, facing a side street. Al in all, we found Visconti very good for what we required.... and the front desk very helpful.
