Pre booked drinks packages?

I have been told that if i buy pre booked drinks packages then vouchers will be left in our room when we arrive. But you can only use the vouchers for room service not at the bars? Is this correct?

Also is the beer package for cans/bottles or draught? (If so what size cans or bottles)?

Thanks

The drinks package is a 375ml bottle along with som mixers. It is not a fix number of drinks in the bar(s).

Beer is cans. I think you get 6 for the price of 5.

Princess now offers the smaller bottles of liquor only, but the mixers must be ordered seperately. they used to supply the mixers with the package deal, but not anymore. That ended several years ago.

So, if you pre-order a bottle for your stateroom, remember, unless you drink it straight, you must also order the mixers to go with it at some point ($). ;)

I agree though, these items that can be pre-ordered are not for mixed drinks ordered at the bars, but for a bottle delivered to your stateroom only.

We pre-ordered several beer and soda packages, and feel they were good value. We don't drink enough soda for an expensive soda card, so pre-ordered a dozen cans of pop. The beers were six for the price of five.

The real advantage to this was that we paid for all of our beer and soda three months before departure – so it wasn't a factor on our onboard billing.

The gift vouchers were not in our stateroom when we arrived. We called Room Service, and they had them delivered within the hour.

You also can't use them at the bars anymore - just call Room Service and they'll deliver as much as you want, on ice or off. You can also redeem the vouchers in the dining room.

We pre ordered a few of the beer packages as we were told they could be redeemed at the bars. Once on board we were told that only room service would redeem them. No problem after that we would get them delivered to our room and when we went to the deck bar the staff would give us a bucket of ice to keep all six cold. Probably won't bother again as the deck bars do 5 for the price of 4 on becks, Bud and a couple of others.

When I pre-ordered beer packages to my room, the CS rep was not too sure if they could be used at bars, but I have heard on these boards what LIDOLIZ said. They can't. It would be nice if they could. You don't just want all of your beer in the cabin. I'd love to present it to a bar at sailaway, in one of the lounges, or in the casino. I guess I'll lug a few to the pool in a bucket or small soft cooler which I am bringing.

Cheers,

Freddie
