Dream Price Drop?

Does anyone know if price drops occur with a new ship? or do they generally fill up so Carnival doesn't have to drop prices?

I am not sure of the answer but we are cruising the week before you and mine has steadily increased since we booked. I am hoping for a price drop but not holding my breath on it :)

I think we booked the Dream back in April or May (I think) price has increased twice since we booked, both times out category went up $50. I don't imagine that if it should drop, it will only go back down to what we paid, I am thinking it won't drop below what we paid.

Not sure either but also wanted to add that we are booked for August 7, 2010 and our balcony and inside both went up $50 per person, so $200 in total for us so far.

We booked quite a while ago.
