fig414 Posted July 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2009 I'd like to see some pax boasting about how they always remove their tips. We like to leave extra also but it seems very repetitive on the board. Something like: "We always remove our tips whether the service is good or bad. It gives us more money to spend at the bar". Spice it up a little.

WinnieinWA Posted July 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2009 I would pity that poor poster! They'd get ripped to shreds! From most everything I've read about tips on CC the majority of posters go above and beyond the recommended tips. CC members, as a whole, understand the realities of the crew and tip more to help them and their families. If I'm wrong please let me know. That is one reason I love the auto tip..so every cruiser must tip unless they make it a huge production at guest services not to. Happy sails.:)

pnjkeith Posted July 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2009 I think there are more stiffers than extra tippers. Extra tippers will brag about it on boards, stiffers rarely see a need to brag. Any way funny post, bet some will get carried away with it.
fig414 Posted July 12, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted July 12, 2009 Thank you Keith. You could see the tongue in cheek as some others obviously did not. Oh well...

It is handled as any other request at guest services. No huge production involved.

MrPete Posted July 12, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 12, 2009 I can rattle off some names in my head of people that proudly do this, stating that the cruise should pay these people that we tip. But I won't post them.

BlueJacketsFan1 Posted July 13, 2009 #16 Share Posted July 13, 2009 On our last cruise I swear I saw the same older guy at the purser's deck about everyday early in the morning. I know at least three times he was there adding and removing different staffs tips. One of the other continueout thread is the good old drinking posts.
