We are booked on a 4 iskland stop in the W.Caribbean and have booked tours on Roatan and Belize since these ports seem to have not so much to do "in town". Cozumel and Grand Cayman are also stops. We are not "beach people".....and considering a "see the island" type of tour. Would such a tour in both ports be a little repetative ? If we decide to do only one such tour which would allow the other to be an o.k. walk and sightsee and shop port ?

Thanks in advance !! :D

Cozumel is a good place to just get off the boat and shop. There are the pier stores, but if you catch a taxi and go a couple of miles down the road, there is ton of shops. The store owners have a bit of a personal space issue, however we have found a polite no thank you wards them off. Stay on the main drag though. If you go down the side streets don't go alone. I found those to be a little unerving.

Grand Cayman has lots of shore excursions. We went on the stingray snorkel tour through a private company, and it was an experience of a lifetime! I highly reccomend it. Just my personal opinion of course! Shopping in Grand Cayman was also fun, but the only place I had my heart set on was margaritaville. We only spent about an hour shopping. remember, grand cayman is a tender port, so watch your time there.

Have fun!!!

Victor Bodden in Roatan is wonderful and cheap and he will take you whever you want to go for such a good price. 5 of us from our roll call went together and there was a more active group who also used him. We loved it, one of the best.

Check out Captain Marvin's for Grand Cayman for good prices. He does both land and sea, if you dont want to touch sting rays.
