teegeezfun Posted December 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2004 noticed on other threads that water taxi seems to be the method preferred to get to the beaches. I am not sure which beach i am interested in. grand anse or magazine. does water taxi take you to both. if so what is cost and is it truly right at cruise ship pier that i can get it. i am partially disabled and will not be able to walk far at any given location to pick it up. thanks
Jumbie Posted December 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2004 noticed on other threads that water taxi seems to be the method preferred to get to the beaches.I'd say that it was the best (and likely, cheapes) method. I am not sure which beach i am interested in. grand anse or magazine. does water taxi take you to both.More would likely be going to Grand Anse as this is the "popular beach". They will take you to Magazine beach though, but it will cost more. if so what is cost and is it truly right at cruise ship pier that i can get it. i am partially disabled and will not be able to walk far at any given location to pick it up. thanksCost should be about US $2-5 per person. I am really not sure of the status of the water taxis at this time. Our new port opened today and is on the opposite side of town from the old one. I'm not sure what arrangements and accomodations have been made for the water taxis. I'm sure they will eventually be available right at the new port, but I can't tell you at this point in time.
