Paying for items with cash on board??

Sailing on the Dawn on August 9th and was wondering if we could pay cash as we go for items purchased... drinks, sodas, items in gift shops, instead of running a tab...

 

Also, can we bring snacks aboard? Have three kids traveling with us and would rather provide them with chips, etc. brought from home rather than paying double on board?

You would have to put everything on your key card and then you could settle your account on the last day with cash. You can bring snacks onboard but they have snack food available at no charge. My kids never had a problem finding food on the Sky.

there are no registers, on the ship. when you get a drink or soda, they just scan your card or write down your number. you can go to the customer service desk and by cash on your cabin's bill. many people use a credit card and then use cash to get the charges off the credit card.

if your kids want candy bars and chips..yes, bring your own. snacks at the gift shop, are expensive. any drinks or candy bars. in your refrig, will be costly.

otherwise, free food is easy to find.
