Silver Spirit departs Dec. 23 on an 11-day maiden voyage from Barcelona to Lisbon with calls in Malaga, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Casablanca and Tangier. Guest lecturer is Andrew Roberts, historian and biographer who appears regularly on British television. He has reported on royalty for NBC and CNN in the U.S. Early-booking fares start at $5,860.

According to our T/A, Silversea is coming out with a new brochure in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, it will show the stateroom layouts for Spirit. All I can find so far are descriptions, not layouts.

information on the Spirit's build progress or SS is welcome.

Andrew Roberts was on our Silver Cloud cruise during the 2007-2008 holidays (South Africa) and we thought he was excellent. So glad to hear he will be on our Spirit cruise this holiday season. We got a chance to talk to him personally and he has a number of "stories" and lectures to share, so I am sure we will be "royally" entertained (just a reference to the fact that he knew Princess Diane personally and does have some interesting stories....).
