Snowbuddy Posted July 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Thanks so much for posting! Question: does RCI have anything that rivals the melting chocolate cake on Carnival? If not, I will be depressed, but it will be better for my figure, :D!
yogimax Posted July 17, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Thanks so much for posting! Question: does RCI have anything that rivals the melting chocolate cake on Carnival? If not, I will be depressed, but it will be better for my figure, :D! Good question! Unfortunately, RCCL's version pales in comparison with Carnival's. It's o.k., but not something to dream over. briony Posted July 20, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2009 I am probably the odd one out but I just got off the 7/12 cruise on AOS and I was extremely disappointed in the food in the main dining room and at the Windjammer. I actually may have lost weight on this cruise. The food in the Windjammer was not hot enough for me and was basically tasteless. The dining room food tasted like Stouffers frozen food entrees. I did eat good muffins and sandwiches in the Cafe Promenade. Maybe my expectations were too high as far as food goes.

Will they serve items minus the sauce if you ask? Yes... I sometime request sauces on the side... It just means the server has to take more time fighting for it in the kitchen but it can be done:D

MattSaw Posted November 27, 2009 #15 Share Posted November 27, 2009 We're just back from the 11/15 sailing. We found the entrees and desserts at dinner very tasty. The portions were quite modest (especially of the sides), so don't be afraid to ask for extra. The service was also excellent. There's a bad shortage of healthy lunch food in the Windjammer. I ended up eating a lot of green salads and fruit salad and baked potatoes at lunch. One thing I'd like to see is more and better vegetables available at lunch and dinner. As I've said before, Adventure has the friendliest crew I've seen so far, in four cruises on RCI.
