Lori thanks for that info

That is good then ...things are changing at O

You can always cancel the excursions 3 days prior to get a refund but they charge you right away when booking online.

If you can find others on the Roll call to share tours you probably will get a price ;)

I am trying to find out some options for viewing the divers, and wonder if anyone knows if they are in view from the ship or the dock area|? Somehow I doubt it, but it isnt easy to find a short tour just to see the divers and back to the ship. The roll call is still very slow and only a handful of ppl. have joined.

You could probably just take a taxi there

check the time for the divers they only dive a couple of time during the day.

We used Rosy for a private tour & she took us there so cannot comment on other means.

Maybe the roll call will pick up after the summer

We booked several excursion swith Oceiania and did many on our own. The ship may very well cancel tours due to low interest. We also found the local representative to be a good source of information if you want to go into town on your own. Many ports/cities have very good local bus transportation (i.e. 2 Euors round trip from Amalfi to Ravello). So much to see so little time!:)

Although I did not miss any shore excursions or ports of call, my cruise was a learning experience for me. I will strongly consider options for insurance in the future. I will look at both trip interruption coverage as well as medical coverage for international travel. I am thankful for the information regarding these choices posted on this forum.

I strongly suggest that you look into Medjet Assist. It is a program that flies it's members from a hospital 150 miles from home and further back to their home hospital (evacuation insurance). buying it with the AARP discount brings it to a family rate of about $300. Hope I never have to use it but if I do --. Saw a heart attack patient get air lifted off the Celebrity Constellation on a TA. Don't think that I could afford this "service" out of my own pocket or with Blue Cross.

Don, We're going on the Regatta next March (Miami to Barcelona) and yes, the Oceana website does say that booking on line for that cruise is not available, but, I still went to the off shore excursion page and DID book a tour for Funchal, Madeira and I got a confirmation and my credit card was charged, so I think the web site is wrong when they say you, cant. :)

Shore excursions for our February 2010 cruise on the Regatta are available to view online but not to book.

At the bottom of the description of each excursion is the statement "Please contact reservations at 1-866-765-3630 if you would like to request this tour".

There is no indication if I will be able to book online later.

Don
