Does anyone know who the Cruise Director is on the Pacific Sun, we are going on her Flowers of Asia cruise January 2010, many thanks:)

Hi there, at the moment it is Sandy, a nice young American (male)

but, their contracts are only for about 6 months, so by the time you go on your cruise, there will be another CD.

kind regards, Lorraine:):)

I didnt mind her for the first few nights but after that it kind of got old...

And it would annoy me when she would tell everyone the casino was giving away millions.... i didnt win 1 cent the whole time lol.

I wouldnt be angry if we had her, someone else on our next cruise would be nice but you just gotta see what happens

I loved Zoltina! What did others not like?

On the cruise we did with her as CD we got the impression she'd rather be anywhere else than on a P&O Aus ship in the South Pacific. She seemed to lack a lot of enthusiasm, and didn't have a nice word to say about any of the ports that we visited.

We did a 16 nigth cruise, and by about the 10th night you could tell she'd ran out of jokes to tell, and she tried to improvise badly.

And after 16nights, if I heard her say that the casino was giving away 'Thousands and Thousands and Thousands' of dollars one more time I thought I'd scream!

Agree with you, normally cruise directors love to chat to you, did not find her very approachable as other Cruise Directors, Hawaain Night no decorations like other cruises, the dancers were fantastic they were much better at socialising and being involved with the passengers.

Is Demo back on board then???????? I thought he went shoreside.

Hi,

Demo is no longer a CD, but comes on both Pacific Dawn and Pacific Sun , and does a stand up comedy show.....adult only. late at night.

each time I have seen him, it has been for just one show, then he gets off.

In Sandy's favour he was probably excited they were on board, he doesn't get to see them often. Also a lot of passengers enjoy meeting and talking to family of crew.

Ok, he started to run the adult comedy on the Pacific Sky. The crew told jokes as did the passengers. Only stayed a few minutes, it was pretty gross what some of the jokes were. One man tried to get in with his daughter and got ****ty when he was stopped. We were on our way out and I said to him, "You do not want to take your daughter in there, believe me" I like rude jokes but the ones being told were just filthy and not funny, almost pornographic. Wonder if his show is that crude. Oh, he had that other cruise assistant director that nobody liked, I think his name was Michael? Someone on here will know.

The Michael i remember was Michael Whitmore who was a C.D, Sandy was his assistant on the Pacific Star a couple of years ago......as far as Demo's Comedy skit i won't comment on it as i don't for one minute think its close to being comedy....smut yes.....comedy no......a couple of years ago they had quite a well known young comedian onboard as a headliner we unfortunately watched him die a death on stage because he couldn't get a laugh with his usual routine......see once he removed all the swearing and smut he just wasn't funny so the audience walked......what a sad sight he was........shiona

We had a similar experience with Zoltina on Pacific Dawn - she even had her father (a numerologist) do a couple of guest lectures on the cruise.

That's the one, Michael Whitmore, wasn't very popular. The best comdiean we have seen is an English bloke, living in Oz. Can't remember his name but he was very very funny, no smut, no swearing, just good old fashioned Music Hall humour.:D

Then of course we have had Ugly Dave.:o

Hi Shiona

I agree that Syd Heylen Junior was great. :)

By the way, we thought that Ugly Dave's show on the NZ cruise where you saw him was the best show we had seen him do for a few years. However, we have seen Ugly Dave and Peter Dean too many times already and would give them a miss.

Evon.
