Religous services

Hello again fellow cruisers,

During our many cruises with HAL, we really enjoyed the weekly (sometimes daily) religious services on-board. Does anyone know, or have experience with religious services on-board Azamara cruises?? Thanks for your responses.

Do you recall whether or not the services are announced in the daily paper?

Hi Jenn,

Had a quick look through the "Pursuits" (daily paper) from our cruise last October (I don't like to toss these things too quickly:o) ... the only mention I could find was one Friday there was a Sabbath Service at 6:15 p.m. (it was listed in the schedule of daily events), and one Sunday they had an announcement on the front page re Sunday Mass Service at an Evangelical Church in Sorrento ... with the address and time shown. We were on board for 2 weeks, & no announcements in "Pursuits" on the other Friday and Sunday.

When we were on Quest in January, John Howell the Cruise Director led a short reflection service at 1715 in a lounge which was advertised in Pursuits. John had carefully and very thoughtfully prepared a lovely selection of readings and reflections and led two beautiful prayers. He said he did this as it was something he wanted to have happen on a Sunday on board. In It was such a shame there were only 6 people there but it was a lovly time

We boarded the Quest right after UKtog in January, and we had service almost everyday with Monsignor Villamide. The service was announced in the Pursuit and varied in time and location according to ship schedule.

There was also an inter-denominational service on Sundays, and Sabbath service on Fridays.

Everything was listed in the Pursuit!

Thank you for this information :) We really ejoyed the Services on board HAL and are HOPING the 'Journey' has similar services. I am assuming the 'Pursuit' is the daily schedule of events published for passengert use??

Thanks everyone! We read the pursuits thoroughly each night, and we will keep an eye out for it. We actually have sea days on both Fridays, so perhaps we will finally make it to services on board!

Does anybody have a suggestion of the person on the ship to contact if it is not listed in the pursuits?
