1st CCL cruise! GLORY 7/18 review/comparision to RCL/NCL

............ While there I asked the Customs agent about the ship not having an customs check onboard. He couldn’t explain why other then saying because it was a closed loop cruise maybe. All our other cruises have been closed looped..

No immigration check in St Thomas after stop in Nassau? That is odd. When we've not had an immigration check in St Thomas it has always been when St Thomas is our first port. St Thomas is US territory and Nassau isn't so that would meet the criteria for immigration check.

 

Close loop would allow you to sail without a passport, but not avoid immigration check at St Thomas after a non US port stop.

I thought so too but it's true!!

I don't think anyone can sail without a passport (since June) regardless of it being a closed loop cruise though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
