We are also in 1105 in Sept and are wondering what side we will be on when we leave Port Canaveral.

You will love the Spa deck , There are only 7 rooms on your hall....You are on the starboard side which is the right side...We were just off and we were in 1033.... :).....Dennis

Terrific review - enjoyed it greatly! How long a drive was it from Calhoun to Pt. Canaveral? Did you go down 75 or 95? We have to go down 75 and stop in Bartow FL to pick up son and then head to Bartow to the Radisson.

I'm actually from about 25 miles northeast of Bartow! Auburndale, FL. Bartow was one of our rivals in high school. Too Funny!

We would normally take I-75 to the FL Turnpike to Orlando and then catch the Beachline Expressway to the coast. About 8 1/2 hours - 9 hours. This time we had to go to Statesboro to pick up DD22 at college. 615 miles! A little longer that way. What does your son do in beautiful Bartow Florida?

Thanks for the great unbiased review. We will be on the glory the end of october. By the way, your daughters are beautiful.

Thank you!:)

your live in GA and filled your cooler with PEPSI - what's up with that

more pictures, more pictures

LOL!!! First time in Atlanta, years ago, DW was panicking when she couldn't find Pepsi in Coca Cola's mecca! She'll order water instead of Coke!

what was your room number? I will be in room 1105 , I was not sure which side is port side.

We were in 1112 on the port side and loved it. We docked in St. Thomas so we could see the harbor and in St. Martin so we could see Phillipsburg. In Nassau we were facing east and could see Atlantis. Loved it!

Thanks for the wonderful review and pics. We will be driving from Georiga (Marietta area) to Port Canaveral in August. We've never made the drive (always flown). How long did it take you? Was it a long boring drive, or fairly scenic. Thanks for any input on this and thanks again for the great review!

That is too weird - we both live in Calhoun and you're from Auburndale. DH and I are originally from Tampa. Son has got a degree in computer engineering from USF and is currently unemployed:eek:. He's considering moving up here for a change of scenery.

Ironic eh? How's this? We lived in Tampa for 6 months before we moved to Calhoun. Just outside of the North Dale subdivision in north Tampa!

Tell your son to get the heck out of Polk County! That place has gotten sooooo bad. :( It's a shame.

We lived in 12 Oaks S/D in Town & country near Waters & Hanley Rd. - near North Dale. I sure do not miss that traffic! My sister lived in Northdale for a while. My son is working on getting out of Bartow at least. He's the only good thing in Bartow!

I reserved the supper club for Mon. night - 9/28 I think it is. So excited as my sister and BIL's first cruise. Trying really hard to lose about 10 lbs. so I can gain 5 back:rolleyes:

Was the cigar "bar" in the sports bar now? I think they've moved them to a smaller venue on most of the ships. DH and son love their cigars and bourbon at the cigar bars.

We're still considering Jost Van Dyke - you made it sound really doable. And those great photos make us want to get there even more!

Honk if you see a black volvo V70 (station wagon) around Calhoun with a DI (Davis Island) sticker and a peace frog sticker on the back window. It's me!

sailingawaysoon - I've made the drive from Calhoun, GA to Tampa many, many times in the past 11 years and I'm sorry to say that as far as Tampa it is a boring drive in my opinion. Would be interesting if you've never driven that route before. But hey, look what's waiting for you at the end of the drive in Pt. Canaveral:D

Yes the "on the green" bar is the sportsbar. It's on deck five and connected to the casino. Lots of tv's. Never really busy in the two or three times I went in.

After making this drive multiple times a year for 11 1/2 years, it is now boring! From Marietta to Port Canaveral should take you about 8 hours or so. I would take I-75 south to the FL Turnpike to the Beachline expressway in Orlando. That takes you straight by the port. A very easy drive. Or take I-75 to I-10 East to Jacksonville to I-95 south. Don't think you can see the beach on I-95 though! Too far inland.

Loved your review! We sailed on the Glory this past May and had a fantastic time. BTW....I'm sitting here in Polk County reading this review lol.

Sorry but I moved there in 1973 and have saw it go downhill in the 90's.

Are you from there?
