Chilkoot - Yukon rail & bus - lunch??

We have booked the Yukon rail and bus. Actually, we are doing the bus portion first, then the train back. I understand that there is a lunch included. Where do they stop for lunch, and what is served?

Lunch will be served at Caribou Crossing and will consist of BBQ chicken plus sides, as well as your drink (tea) and dessert. It really was quite tasty! After lunch, you can walk around the premises. Visit the puppies. I never made it to the puppies because I was checking out other stuff. You will truly enjoy the bus ride up and then the train back to Skagway. Another plus to riding the train back to town is that, most likely, your rail car won't be filled to the max and you will be able to move around.

We were just there last week. You can have 1 or 2 pieces of chicken. We had a half of a baked potato, coleslaw and a bun with our meal. It was quite good. There is also a vegetarian option - perogies, potato, coleslaw and bun.

There are soft drinks, beer etc available for purchase.

Donuts for dessert (really good!)

We all really enjoyed our meals.

Our van driver also took us into a small town nearby for a yummy ice cream cone after lunch, too! We went a couple of years ago, so I don't know if they are currently doing this. I agree with previous posters--lunch was great!
