Martita B. Posted August 4, 2009 #26 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Mail from the Pride ~~tomorrow, no port, as they will have a sea day. The Club party was very nice, but small, as so few club members aboard. MB

OrpingtonT Posted August 6, 2009 Author #29 Share Posted August 6, 2009 I watched Pride dock today, a little late, in the dock next to that huge Celebrity Equinox. It looks a nice day there and Oslo is a lovely walkable city to spend a day.
Martita B. Posted August 6, 2009 #30 Share Posted August 6, 2009 The huge Celebrity Equinox along side the Seabourn Pride Yacht stat's: 2,850 guests, 999 crew ~~ I can not imagine sailing on this size ship ~~ MB
Martita B. Posted August 6, 2009 #31 Share Posted August 6, 2009 The Pride will depart Oslo tonight at 11 pm. I'm sure the entertainment dept. has planned a "Rock The Boat" evening (it's usually held in Oslo ~~calm sea) If anyone would enjoy seeing the Pride lighted and festive, you can view it on the kroooz cam. Enjoy your day!:p MB
OrpingtonT Posted August 6, 2009 Author #32 Share Posted August 6, 2009 The Pride will depart Oslo tonight at 11 pm. MB Thanks for that. I was just trying to find the sailaway time, without success. I see that enormous Equinox has now left so the lights should not be overshadowed.

Surely not another sea day cruising around in rough waters.
seaquam Posted August 7, 2009 #35 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Have been in beautiful Copenhagen for 5 days, embark Pride tomorrow. Could not have had better traveling weather-- perfectly sunny skies, around 75F, slight breeze. Hoping this might continue throughout Baltic region. :)

Martita B. Posted August 7, 2009 #38 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Excuse me.....after rereading Captain e-mail he actually said, "very calm sea today.....like a polished kitchen floor!" I couldn't visualize Geir-Arne with a bucket and a mop down in the Galley! Sorry for the report error! MB

Tucruisers Posted August 8, 2009 #42 Share Posted August 8, 2009 Just go off the Pride this am and posting this from Copenhagen Airport BA lounge on route to LHR. Thank goodness for Stugeron! Horrible weather out of Copenhagen with 9 metre waves Friday before last and poor weather again on a sea day on the way to Oslo. Still, 2 only days out of 9 and the rest was great. Lucky (or well planned) to have a suite on deck 4 midships. Great food, service etc but I am sure that everyone reading this, with the possible exception of OrpingtonT who I semm to recall is a dedicated Regent fan, will know this already. Must fly!
