CRUISERSWITHKIDS Posted August 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2009 If we dock in San Juan at the end of our cruise at 6AM, what would be the earliest you would book a flight home without feeling rushed?
megr1125 Posted August 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2009 The next day!;):p Well..just because the ship docks at 6 doesn't mean you get off at 6...or that the ship will be cleared...... The SJ airport can be a zoo....while you MAY make an earlier flight, I would not do anything before noon.....................

The whole experience of getting off the ship, rushing to the airport, (in San Juan you have to have your bags scanned for agricultural products BEFORE you enter the airport), and everything else is just a royal PAIN. Relax, take a few deep breaths, have a relaxing breakfast and cup of coffee on the Lido deck and watch everyone else days go to heck. Then mosey off the ship and head to the airport for an early or late afternoon flight.
TrentS Posted August 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2009 No joke - THE NEXT DAY! I barely made a 3pm flight there once, that port and airport are both insane!
MrCruzeaddict Posted August 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2009 SJU is a zoo! On our last cruise from San Juan (Adventure of the Seas), we booked a 4:00pm flight. This will give you "wiggle" room. When on vacation...you don't want to rush! :) Joe<---Just countin' down the days! :D
