miked998 Posted August 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2009 Are there any stores in Jersey Gardens outlet mall that sell soda?
smeyer418 Posted August 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2009 http://www.jerseygardens.com/index.cfm not if you are looking for something other than in the food court. Most gas stations in NJ sell 12 packs of soda as do most drug stores.
miked998 Posted August 2, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted August 2, 2009 I am looking for 12 packs to take on the ship. Are there any gas stations within walking distance from the hotels on Glimcher Realty Way?
megr1125 Posted August 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2009 nope to both questions... nearest is stop n shop which is about 3 miles away....you'd have to take a cab. there is nothing within walking distance that will sell soda (i was just there last weekend.....) and taking public transit will take too long, and probably cost too much. GTJ Posted August 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2009 I am looking for 12 packs to take on the ship. Are there any gas stations within walking distance from the hotels on Glimcher Realty Way? The hotels there are in an industrial area with virtually no residential uses (and thus no supermarkets). The area to the south is lower-income residential and the supermarket selection is not too good. You may find it most convenient to wait until the day of your departure and go to the Stop & Shop that is located immediately south of the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor (formerly Marine Ocean Terminal and site of the Cape Liberty Cruise Port). It is not walking distance from the cruise terminal (primarily because pedestrians are not allowed into the Cape Liberty Cruise Port), but if you're going by automobile it is reasonable convenient. But couldn't they head to route 3 and see if any of the liquor stores there have six packs of sodas?
njhorseman Posted August 6, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 6, 2009 But couldn't they head to route 3 and see if any of the liquor stores there have six packs of sodas? They asked for stores within walking distance. Maybe they won't have a car, or maybe being from out of town they don't want to be sent on a magical mystery tour of an unfamiliar area. And Jersey Gardens is in Elizabeth...it's nowhere near Route 3.
