Love Lock on Ponte Vecchio - Anyone done it?

I think it's very romantic.... There is a fine if you are caught and I am not sure I want to take that chance but I am curious if anyone else has?

"If caught, there is a fine." LOL, looks like they don't do a very good job of catching people! We also saw this on a bridge/lookout point on the way to the Amalfi coast, looking toward Mt. Vesuvius.

 

If I knew about it before I visited, I would have done it...to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
