Has anyone heard anything about the Carnival Elation. On John Heald's Blog, someone from the Carnival offices said they would release the iten. for the Elation in the next couple of weeks, well it has been five weeks. I am really curious about what they are going to do with the Elation.

I guess I'm dense today, but what is being released Aug.17? A new itinerary for the Elation? As in what days they'll be up and down the coast from San Diego OR taking her out of San Diego all together?

I think that is something we all are trying to figure out. They are taking so long to put out this info, are they changing the ports or are they having other problems

Yes we are all trying to figure out what they are doing with the Elation. The must be deciding something different becuase they only have cruises scheduled until the end of April 30, 2010 so that is less than a year away. Other ships have had their schedules out for months.

I really wish I knew.... my husband wanted me to start planning for his next birthday 8/2010 (30th!) because he wants a ton of friends & family on board. We hoped to cruise the Elation to Cabo, but right now only the Paradise to Ensenada is available. No offense to anyone who likes that port but I'd rather not even get off the ship if that was my only option.:(

I hope they figure out what they are going to do ASAP.

I think the "deciding what to do about the Elation" decision has to do with how many 3 & 4 day Ensenada/Catalina (ho hum ) cruises versus how many 5-day Los Cabos (or elsewhere) cruises there are going to be.

The Paradise out of Long Beach already does the 3/4 day Ensenada/Catalina thing, so it would be refreshing to see a trip south to Los Cabos (a San Diego departure has a 5 hour head start on a Long Beach departure). :)
